Easier access to public legal services
Chinese people have been given easier access to public legal services over the past few years, as the nation’s justice system has beefed up efforts to improve them. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012, more than 566,000 public legal service stations have been established across the country, giving residents the ability to ask for legal help whether they live in cities or villages. In 2018, a legal service website, 12348.gov.cn, was opened to the public.
